Panthers 2019 training camp: 2 players pass physicals, come off PUP list

The Panthers began 2019 training camp with three players on the active PUP list. Today, two of then have passed their physicals and are cleared to practice. According to digital reporter Max Henson, wide receiver Torrey Smith and linebacker Jermaine Carter are ready to participate.

Smith is entering his ninth year in the league. He took a $2 million pay cut for 2019, likely saving his spot on the 53-man roster.

Linebacker Brandon Chubb is now the only player remaining on the list.

Today’s practice is the first of training camp in pads.
