Let’s check out another offensive line prospect that has risen through the ranks pretty quick after a strong pre-draft process and could be in play for the Panthers at No. 16. Here’s a look at Washington State offensive tackle Andre Dillard.
Dillard was a two-star prospect from Woodinville, Washington and was named All-King County First Team and King County 4A Crest Division Offensive Lineman of the Year as a senior, as well as the Seattle Times All-Area First Team.
After red-shirting his freshman season in 2014, Dillard stepped onto the field in 2015 for three games at left tackle. He eventually cracked the starting lineup in 2016 and never missed a start from that point on, totaling 39 games for the Cougars.
His accolades over those three years include Pro Football Focus All-Pac 12 Second Team (2016), All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention (2017), SI.com All-American Second Team (2018), AP All-America Third Team (2018) and All-Pac-12 First Team (2018).
Dillard’s run up to the draft has been fantastic, including an impressive Senior Bowl that helped skyrocket his value. The process continued at the combine, where he measured in at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds with 33.5-inch arms. Dillard ran a 4.96 40-yard dash, bench-pressed 24 times, posted a 29-inch vertical jump, a 118-inch broad jump, 7.44 in the three-cone and 4.4 in the short shuttle.
Analysts like Dillard’s strong footwork, which allows him to excel in pass protection.

If Carolina picks him, Dillard can begin his career as a swing tackle behind Taylor Moton and Daryl Williams before moving into the starting lineup in 2020.
