Panicking Holly Willoughby runs off This Morning set after skunk spray mayhem

Panicking Holly Willoughby ran off the This Morning set today after a skunk caused mayhem in the studio.

The presenters were cuddling with some adorable skunks from Chessington World of Adventures during the opening of the show.

The pair's concerns were eased when keeper Leanne explained that skunks have a bad reputation and that Storm had only sprayed two or three times in her entire life.

However, chaos ensued when the skunk lifted up it's tail and pointed its rear end in Holly's direction.

The worried presenter jumped up and ran to hide behind a pillar while shouting: "What's happening? What's happening? Is it going to go?"

Stunned Phillip Schofield leaned back away from the skunk while cradling another in his arms in hilarious scenes.

As Holly peered out from behind her hiding place, she asked: "Was she about to blow?"

Giggling Phil, who had stood up from his desk, called his co-host a "such a scaredy cat".

Pointing out that they could fire their oily spray up to 10ft, Holly replied: "You saw with your eyes what just happened."

"It went on its paws then it went like this. It was braced to fire."

Leanne the keeper then came in to pick up two of the skunks, leaving Phil asking if he was being left with the other one.

The presenters were left in fits of giggles as they noted that the skunk had only sprayed twice in it's life and nearly did it for a third time on live TV.

They then suddenly realised they were both still standing up behind the desk.

Phil said: "Look at us we’re standing up. We’re never stood up. We’re usually sitting and relaxed. We’re so on edge."
