Former Leeds United defender Alex Bruce believes Aston Villa chief Christian Purslow should take a leaf out of Andrea Radrizzani’s book.
Purslow has been one of the leading figures in opposing neutral venues to complete the Premier League season.
However, the Premier League remains committed to completing the season, with further talks scheduled for next week over Project Restart.
And Bruce has told Purslow he should leave the decisions to the governing bodies and called for him to follow in the footsteps of Radrizzani, who has kept quiet throughout the process.
“For me, yes, because when you see someone like Christian Purslow come out and say he wants this that and the other, he’s obviously panicking about the relegation,” he told Football Insider.
“I think ultimately you’ve got to leave it to the governing bodies because there’s nothing you can really do to influence them because it’s them who are making the decisions.
“They’ve got a lot of clubs to think about and whatever they do, it will be for the benefit of everybody.
“I respect people like Radrizzani who have just kept their head down, let the powers that be make the decisions and respect them when those decisions have been made.”
