Panic by Lauren Oliver is set in a town, Carp, where every year seniors who have just graduated play a game called panic. It involves facing your greatest fears for a desirable cash prize. The book alternates between Heather, and Dodge's point of view. Heather decides to play after her boyfriend, Matt, breaks up with her but she soon decides to play for different reasons. Dodge is playing for something more than the prize, and they both seal the deal by jumping off a cliff. The story then follows them as they complete the challengers as their lives change throughout.
I enjoyed this book, as it was a great concept that has been very well written. Though one of the major plot twists was a bit predictable, she put just enough clues in to make it make sense. It has a great ending and is definitely worth the read, I found it really hard to put down.
