YouTube star James Charles and Panic! At the Disco frontman Brendon Urie had an extremely awkward exchange via the live stream video platform, Twitch, recently. Beauty vlogger James Charles has made it known that he’s obsessed with musician Brendon Urie, and he was under the impression that the feelings were mutual.
Back in December, Urie said that he would be “honored” if Charles did his makeup during a Twitch stream.
Charles re-tweeted the Twitch stream with the enthusiastic caption, “HELLO @brendonurie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Recently, they had a direct exchange on Twitch where Charles discovered he was mistaken and shouldn't get his makeup brushes out anytime soon.
“Fricken’ Brendon Urie, who I literally love, was on Twitch a few months ago and was like, ‘omg I would love to have James Charles do my makeup,’” Charles explained in a Twitch stream. “And now that I’m on Twitch I went and I subscribed to him so I could comment. And I was like, ‘Brendon. King. Legend of music and all things amazing. Like, let me glam you, like we talked about,’ and he was like: ‘No thanks, I’m not leaving my house.’ I was like, ‘Ok...’”
In the stream Charles is referring to, the Taylor Swift collaborator shot down Charles’ offer to “glam” him. “Not this year, dude. But, thank you,” Urie said. “I’m not leaving my house for the rest of the year. How f****n’ ridiculous is that? This is the extent of my content until I do another album. I’m such a f*****g lazy a*****e.”
Pick your head up, James, and keep shooting your shot. Maybe Urie will come around once he decides to leave his house.
