Panchkula horror: Father sexually abused daughter for 11 years, teen got pregnant in Class 9

In a shocking case from Haryana's Panchkula, a teenage girl has accused her own father of sexually abusing her for more than a decade. In her complaint, the victim told the police that the assaults started when she was just seven years old.

According to a report in the Times of India, the girl, who is now 18 years old, approached the police following yet another assualt last Friday during which the accused even gave her death threat.

In her complaint the girl revealed that the father used to assault her during the day when her mother was away for the past 11 years. The survivor claimed he was often drunk and would beat, abuse and threaten to kill her whenever she resisted.

In one of the most chilling revelations, the teenager told police she became pregnant while studying in Class 9 as a result of the repeated assaults. She alleged that she was then forced to consume unidentified medicines to terminate the pregnancy, as per the TOI report.

Meanwhile, police have booked the accused under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including rape by a person in a position of trust, assault and criminal intimidation, along with Section 6 of the POCSO Act related to aggravated sexual assault.

The survivor underwent a medical examination at the Sector 6 civil hospital and her statement has been recorded before a magistrate. Officials said she is currently receiving counselling and psychological support.

Following the victim's complaint at the women’s cell at Kalka police station, the accused was arrested. He was later produced in court and sent to judicial custody. ACP Vikram Nehra said the investigation is underway, with officials focusing on ensuring support and protection for the survivor while pursuing the case against the accused.
