PANCHKULA: One more FIR was registered against extortionist Anil Bhalla and his accomplices for extorting Rs 45 lakh from a person resident of Sector 4. This is the 17th FIR against Bhalla and his accomplices.
A complaint was given to the police by Kirti Bala, a resident of Sector 4. She stated that her husband Sanjeev Garg met Bhalla, Akash Bhalla and Narender Khillan, who allegedly lured him by promising foreign funding at a reasonable interest rates and, on that pretext, the accused obtained several blank signed papers, cheques and copy of the papers of the residential house of Kirti as security.
The accused later took Rs 45 lakh from her husband on the pretext of loan processing fee and in the form of air tickets to travel abroad.
When the accused failed to arrange any foreign funds, her husband started demanding his documents and money back. Instead, the accused threatened him saying they would involve him in some false. The accused also misused the blank signed papers and forged one agreement to sell the house situated in Sector 4 on October 7, 2016.
