Panchkula civil hospital keeps 40 beds for Covid positive

PANCHKULA: In the wake of surge in Covid cases, Panchkula civil hospital authorities have kept 40 beds in the emergency ward for the virus-afflicted patients. Besides, all patients visiting the hospital will be tested for Covid. The practice was stopped due to the fall in cases.

The authorities said, “On Tuesday, active cases crossed the 150-mark, as 43 more tested positive, which is a cause of concern. A few patients sought admission, but they were advised home isolation as they had mild symptoms. We have kept 40 beds for serious Covid patients. These beds have direct oxygen supply from the plant at the hospital.”
