Palworld is only growing more powerful, hitting nearly a million concurrents in its second weekend

Palworld - Eidrolon Ignos, a red and black fire dragon pal.

Palworld continues to prove that it's more than a flash-in-the-pan novelty. The survival-crafting romp with legally distinct pokémon just had its second weekend since it hit 1.0, following a couple of years in early access, and it's only getting more popular.

The second weekend saw concurrents approaching a million on Steam (961,867, to be exact), growing by more than 100,000 players since the previous weekend, which had already been extremely busy.

It's an impressive showing for the game's second weekend, though not necessarily all that surprising. After two years in early access, there were probably a lot of folk who'd relegated it to the depths of their Steam library and are only now digging it out again.

While it's enjoying a lot of attention right now, the peak of its popularity continues to be the early access launch, which saw more than 2 million players jump into the game.

I confess that I do not see the appeal—I saw all I needed to in the first days of early access, and unlike, say, Grounded and its sequel, it proved incapable of overcoming my survival-crafting malaise.

Some of my colleagues, however, have been having a grand old time, and as a result they've been able to put together a plethora of handy guides to make your new life with your weird lil' pals a bit more easy going. Take a look below for some expert assistance.
