Palworld has exploded in popularity and is a very fun game to play, but some of the fun can get taken out of it if you aren’t efficient in obtaining the resources you need to craft crucial items.
Luckily, Pals can help you do that when deployed at your home base, which makes the process much easier.
But not all Pals are created equal, especially in the early game. Some are much more efficient than others, mostly because they can handle multiple tasks within your base.
Knowing that, it’s important to have a grasp on which Pals will help you out the most. Here’s a look at seven Pals you’ll find in the early game that are easy to catch and can help you get production in your base going.
Chikipi

Element: Neutral
Work suitability: Gathering (1), Farming (1)
Stockpiling food is not only important for your character and the Pals in your party, but you’ll also need a good supply for the Pals at your home base.
Deploying multiple Chikipi after building your ranch will give you a steady supply of eggs, which are pretty good at curing hunger in the early game after being cooked.
I’ve found using three Chikipi really steps up egg production, so consider doing that if you’re really low on food.
Lamball

Element: Neutral
Work suitability: Handiwork (1), Transporting (1), Farming (1)
Like Chikipi, Lamball will put in some work when deployed with a ranch, except he produces a steady supply of wool, which can be turned into cloth for crafting things like the glider and armor.
On top of that, Lamball can help with the process of crafting things and can transport resources farmed by other Pals to storage boxes in your base.
Tanzee

Element: Grass
Work suitability: Planting (1), Gathering (1), Handiwork (1), Lumbering (1), Transporting (1)
Tanzee does a little bit of just about everything you’ll need in the early game. Our green little friend can farm wood, gather, help with crafting and he can move resources that other Pals have farmed.
Tanzee can also help with food production by planting seeds and harvesting crops at the different types of plantations you can craft.
Cattiva

Element: Neutral
Work suitability: Handiwork (1), Gathering (1), Mining (1), Transporting (1)
Cattiva is another versatile Pal who can get multiple things done while working at your home base.
On top of aiding in crafting, gathering and transporting materials, Cattiva can also mine for stone, ore (for ingot) and Paldium, which are crucial resources needed for crafting.
In addition, Cattiva also has a skill that increases your max carry weight when you’re out and about farming resources.
Foxparks

Element: Fire
Work suitability: Kindling (1)
While Foxparks only has one suitability, it’s an important one.
Remember those eggs and crops we talked about earlier? Well, you’re going to need to cook them if you want to get the most out of them.
With Foxparks that’ll be taken care of — and quickly.
Perhaps more importantly, the fire-based Pal can be used to get your Primitive Furnace going, which is used to turn ore into Ingot, a necessary resource for crafting everything from armor and weapons to Pal spheres.
Eikthyrdeer

Element: Neutral
Work suitability: Lumbering (2)
Eikthyrdeer will put in work farming wood if there are trees in the area, but it especially shines when you’ve built a logging camp.
Deploy one of these bad boys in your base and you should have no problem with wood, logging camp or not.
It’s also worth mentioning that Eikthyrdeer is a Pal you can ride once you’ve crafted the necessary saddle. That makes traversing the landscape much easier.
Pengullet

Element: Water/Ice
Work suitability: Handiwork (1), Watering (1), Cooling (1), Transporting (1)
So, you’ve got plantations and a rock crusher, which is used to craft the oh-so important Paldium. However, in order to actually fully utilize those you need a Pal to water.
Pengullet will be one of, if not the first water Pals you’ll come across and he can solve all your watering needs to get the two aforementioned stations producing.
As if all that wasn’t enough, Pengullet can help with crafting and transporting when he isn’t watering. Also, his partner skill gives you a rocket launcher for good damage.
