Paloma Faith shares 'exciting' update as star is very close to giving birth

Paloma Faith has shared her "exciting" update with fans as she comes close to giving birth.

She's expecting her second baby with her partner Leyman Lahcine.

The singing super star, who already has a four-year-old daughter with her partner, admitted she was feeling "excited" to focus on her pregnancy.

Paloma, 39, showed off her blossoming baby bump as she stripped down to her underwear for the mirror selfie shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

In a lengthy update, she told fans: "It’s starting to take its toll on everyone now I think. Gone are the weekend Zoom parties, the motivation to write, to paint, to think, to compose, to touch base with friends. It’s all a bit flat.

"So many people have been lost and so many parents are now ready to be qualified as teachers hahahaha (but not Hahahahah). I am very close to the end with my pregnancy now and it actually feels exciting, so I’m very fortunate to have something to look forward to and focus on.

"What’s kept me going is all of you who have shown so much appreciation for my album. It really is special to me and my personal fave record I’ve worked on. So thanks.

"I can’t wait to play them all live for you at the end of the year when better days are on their way! Until then though, remember that waking up and getting out of bed is an achievement so don’t beat yourselves up. All my heart, Paloma x."

In December, Paloma opened up about why she had been so forthcoming with her second pregnancy.

Her first pregnancy left the star feeling "fragile".

She told BBC Sounds: "I think it's important because with my first child I wasn't honest and I struggled with that, everyone was treating me like a normal pregnant person. But I didn't feel like one, I felt a bit fragile.

"I couldn't be happy about being pregnant because it was so hard to get there, why would it stay there, so this time I've been feeling better because I've been open about it.

"The fact my pregnancies aren't that strong and I have to be careful. I also do it because other women need to hear those things. The process of being pregnant itself is difficult."

It was in September when Paloma told her fans the happy news she was pregnant again.
