Paloma Faith says she was left hot and bothered by Dubliner actor Andrew Scott

Fleabag's sexy priest Andrew Scott was left red-faced when he got a real-life confession from fellow guest Paloma Faith on the Graham Norton Show.

The Irish actor covered his face in embarrassment as the singer admitted he’d got her all hot and bothered in one scene of the hit comedy series.

She revealed: “I’ve had to confess to Andrew I’ve had a bit of ‘alone time’ with episode five.

“The thing that really upsets me is that, today, everybody but me has got more of a chance with Andrew in reality.

“But, I’ve had my moment. You know what Andrew? Thank you.

“On behalf of anybody who’s got kids, who’s been in long-term relationships, thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart.”

Paloma’s randy banter had host Graham Norton and the studio audience in stitches and Andrew then revealed it wasn’t the first time he’d heard the story. The 42-year-old explained Paloma, 37, had already told him on the BAFTA red carpet, admitting his new reputation as a sex symbol has “definitely changed things a little bit”.

He added: “Weirdly, it’s actually the husbands and boyfriends that come up to me.

“I had a strange encounter the other day. I was in the park going over my lines and this little man was just standing staring at me. Eventually he said, ‘My wife really fancies you, can I have a selfie?’

“He had a mop in one hand and when we had taken the photo he just carried on staring while making the mop jiggle around.

“I wondered if the mop was his ‘wife’. It was really weird.” The Dubliner also admitted he’d broken a secrecy rule over his role in the new series of the Netflix hit Black Mirror.

Andrew, who stars in the latest episode entitled Smithereens, said producers ensured the show was “shrouded in secrecy”.

He said: “I am relieved it is out. No one tells you what’s going on and then you’re sworn to secrecy. You can’t tell anyone but I told my mum.” The actor said Black Mirror’s production team went “above and beyond” filming the car scenes and admitted he felt frustrated because he cannot drive.

He added: “They basically had to put the car on a skateboard and I had to act driving.”
