Paloma Faith has cancelled her gig tonight at Edinburgh's Usher Hall, only a few mere hours before doors were scheduled to open.
The English singer songwriter, best known for hits like 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' and 'Picking Up The Pieces', put out a statement on her social media accounts to let fans know she will not be performing tonight.
The statement read: "'It is with great regret that I have to postpone tonight’s show at Usher Hall, Edinburgh.

"Trying to tour while being a parent to two kids is hard because my little one started reception this year and caught laryngitis which she passed on to me and the baby.
"This has affected my vocal chords and made me lose my voice. I am so devastated. It turns out I’m not a super hero after all.
"On the advice of a doctor, I need to postpone tonight's show and rest, then be reassessed in a few days as to if I can continue my tour.
"I’m so sorry! I feel so annoyed but I will defo reschedule this show so, please hold on to your tickets for now and we’ll be back in touch to confirm the new show date. I will be back Edinburgh!!!!"
The official Usher Hall Twitter account also put out an update to followers, stating: "We regret to inform you that due to illness, @Palomafaith has had to postpone this evenings concert.
"Check here from a statement from Paloma. We hope to announce a rescheduled date soon."
Ticket holders are being directly contacted by the Usher Hall, in order to agree a refund or postponement of the concert.
