Modern Luxury Interiors has named Palm Club Design Group the recipient of the 2025 Design 9 Best Living Room Award for a Palm Beach Gardens renovation defined by a monolithic Calacatta Viola fireplace and a reworked layout that opened the home’s main living spaces.
The project, led by designer Jonathan Scurry, replaced a closed-off, builder-grade room with an airy, connected living–dining space. The award jury cited the project’s balance of quiet luxury and architectural intent, noting the technical coordination required to install Calacatta Viola slabs weighing over 700 pounds each.
The redesign centered on flow, natural light, and durable family-friendly materials: white oak flooring, custom light oak paneling with metal inlays, performance textiles, and a bookmatched stone fireplace that became the home’s visual anchor.
