Two Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli police on Wednesday after a stabbing attack near Jerusalem's Old City.
Israeli police said the two Palestinians attacked Israelis at Jaffa Gate, one of the main entrances to Jerusalem's walled Old City.
Two of the three Israelis who were left seriously injured in the attack died later of their wounds - one from stray police bullets.
Since October 1, at least 131 Palestinians have been killed in the violence, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
The Israeli branch of the International Red Cross says 20 Israelis, one US citizen, and one Eritrean have been killed over the same period.
Tensions have boiled over into unrest in recent months, as Palestinians continue to protest against Israel's ongoing occupation and an increase in Israeli incursions into occupied East Jerusalem's al-Aqsa Mosque compound, the third holiest site for Muslims.
Palestinians are frustrated by Israel's 48-year occupation and with peace talks going nowhere.
