Palestinian factions have called on forcing Israel to respect the truce that was mediated by Egypt and the UN in the Gaza Strip.
Following a meeting for their representatives, the ‘resistance’ factions in Gaza hailed the UN and Arab stances that contributed to ending the Israeli aggression on the enclave.
Their statement affirmed the necessity of pushing the occupation into implementing the latest decisions that resulted in the truce without any procrastination.
Meanwhile, Palestinian sources revealed that the Israeli authorities banned Palestinians from fishing off Gaza for a fifth straight day but allowed Gazans to bring in fuel exceptionally.
A new ceasefire was announced between Israel and the Palestinian factions on Monday, following a deadly escalation that left 31 Palestinians, including two women and a child, dead. Four Israelis were also killed.
Despite the agreement between Palestinian leaders in Gaza to a ceasefire with Israel, Danny Danon, the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, said: "The time has come for the UN Security Council to designate Hamas a terror group.”
"Hamas commits double war crimes, it hides behind civilians in Gaza,” Danon added.
Also Wednesday, the Palestinian Society Prisoners Club reported that two Palestinian detainees remain committed to a hunger strike that they launched in Israeli prisons 37 days ago.
The prisoners club, a non-governmental body, said in a statement that the prisoners reject their administrative detention.
The Israeli prisons administration moved them repeatedly despite their critical health conditions in an attempt to pressure them to end their strike, it said.
According to Palestinian data, Israel holds around 5,700 Palestinians as prisoners with around 500 of them being placed under administrative detention that permits open detention without charges.
