Palestinian Education Ministry Dismisses School Curricula Criticism

Palestine’s school curricula are supervised by UNRWA and prepared by the Palestinian government (Reuters)

The Palestinian education ministry has rejected criticism of its school curricula, saying they are linked to national identity.

In a press statement on Wednesday, the ministry stressed that the development of the curricula came from Palestinian financial resources.

The statement was issued in light of incitement by Israeli pressure groups against school curricula that they considered anti-Semitic.

Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh said the curricula reflect the life of Palestinians, the children’s dreams of freedom and the suffering of the people from occupation and its violations.

He rejected any form of assessment that contradicts Palestine’s history and culture.
