Palestinian Authority Hails Arab Consensus on its Cause

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has hailed the Arab consensus that foiled attempts to change the priorities of the Arab Peace Initiative.

The stance was in response to statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the obstacles in relations with the Arab world, which allegedly resulted in the stalemate in resolving the conflict with the Palestinians.

In its statement on Monday, the ministry said that the attempts by Netanyahu and his ally in the White House to marginalize the Palestinians and their cause have failed.

It asserted that the Palestinian stance – in permanent coordination with the Arab and the world – succeeded in combating these US and Israeli attempts.

It also reinforced the international position that rejects the US and Israeli violation of the international law and legitimacy, and that demands an end to the conflict.

People are paying a high-cost everyday due to Netanyahu’s policies and approaches, which are based on the use of force and disregard of the international community, the ministry added.
