Palace legend's message for Arsenal and Man United amid Wilfried Zaha & Aaron Wan-Bissaka links

Andy Johnson admits that speculation is inevitable when it comes to Crystal Palace's best players, but he insists that the Eagles do not have to sell this summer.

Two of the Eagles' star men - Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka - are attracting plenty of attention this summer, with both players being linked with moves away amid interest from the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United.

But while former Palace striker Andy Johnson says he is not surprised by interest in the duo, he sent a message to any potential suitors.

“There is always going to be talk about players who are so influential for the team," Johnson said, speaking to football.london at the Palace 'Play with Legends' event at Selhurst Park.

“You look at their statistics and I don’t think there is a full-back better than him in Europe at the moment and what Wilf has done for Palace in terms of his assists and his goals, if you compare that to any other player in the top six, you are talking about a £70m, £80m or £90m player.

“That’s what he is and just because he is at Palace doesn’t mean he is only worth £40m or £50m.

“Palace are in a position where they don’t have to sell. They have really good backing behind them now, and if Steve Parish and the American owners feel they are getting the right money for Wilfried, then I am sure he will go.

“But if not, then I am sure they will keep hold of him because they don’t need to sell him."
