'Palace for the win then!' - Rival fans react amid reports of double injury blow for Liverpool

Liverpool fans are facing the prospect of being without two key players for the the trip to face Crystal Palace this weekend.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson are both set to miss the game at Selhurst Park, having failed to recover from ankle injuries.

Salah has been struggling with a problem with his ankle after having to leave the field in the club's 2-1 win over Leicester City at the start of October.

The injury kept the forward out of the 1-1 draw with Manchester United the following week, and although he has been able to start every Premier League match since then, he is yet to complete 90 minutes in the league, with Salah substituted late on in Liverpool's last game against Manchester City.

He did report for international duty with Egypt, but the Egyptian Football Association said he needs "a period of treatment to recover", putting his availability for the game against Palace in serious doubt.

However, midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri may have eased the worries of the former Borussia Dortmund manager for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp by stepping up his recovery from a calf injury.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo , the Swiss midfielder has been pictured taking part in training ahead of the match. Shaqiri has taken part in dribbling drills as well as a contact session with fellow midfielder James Milner.
