A new film shows us Queen Anne's strange life
It’s the early 18th century. England is at war with the French. But in the royal palace, there’s a lot of duck racing and pineapple eating. Queen Anne rules the country, while her close friend Lady Sarah Churchill takes care of her health and temper. When a new servant Abigail Masham (Emma Stone) arrives, she charms Sarah. But Abigail also plans to charm the queen, and starts to replace Sarah as Queen Anne’s favourite. Of course, Sarah becomes very jealous and begins a plot to remove Abigail from the queen’s life. But how far will Sarah go in her war against Abigail?
