Finnieston's ever-expanding food scene has just received a welcome shot in the arm thanks to the opening of a new pizza shop from the team behind Meat Bar in Glasgow city centre.
Pala Pizza Shop has taken over the spot vacated by bakery Seb & Mili, sandwiched in-between the likes of Six By Nico, Rioja and Crabshakk on Argyle Street.
The artisan pizzashop is serving up slices of the traditional Roman-style street food Pizza alla Pala - the unique flatbread pizza that gets its name from the wooden 'pala' or paddle on which it is served.
And a look at the menu shows they are doing some mouthwatering combinations by the slice such as nduja and mango, prosciutto and pinneaple and gorgonzola and pear, as well as classic 12" margherita, pepperoni, spianata salami and salsiccia pizzas.
Aside from the pizzas, Pala Pizza Shop are also doing antipasti platters, sides, salads, desserts and coffees to take away too.
