The Pakistan government may relent by granting permission for the shooting of a film about the murdered US reporter Daniel Pearl. Last month police detained crew members working on the movie, A Mighty Heart, near the Karachi hotel from where the Wall Street Journal reporter was abducted in early 2002. They explained that the film-makers had not sought official permission. The film, being directed by Michael Winterbottom, is based on a book by Pearl's wife, Mariane, and stars Dan Futterman and Angelina Jolie. (Via Reuters)
