Pakistan captain Shan Masood presents David Warner with a special farewell gift

NEW DELHI: Pakistan captain Shan Masood presented retiring Australian opener David Warner with a special farewell gift during the post-match presentation on Saturday in a touching gesture.

The occasion marked the conclusion of Warner's illustrious Test career for Australia, culminating with an eight-wicket triumph against Pakistan and a comprehensive 3-0 series whitewash.

The gift, a jersey signed by all the Pakistan players, was presented by Masood to Warner on the platform. Expressing appreciation for Warner's contributions to the game, Masood congratulated him on a remarkable career and extended well wishes for his future endeavors.

"I want to give a token of appreciation and a bit of a gift for David Warner. Can you please come on the stage? Thank You So Much. We as a team thought of giving you a Babar Azam shirt with signatures of all players and all the best for all the future endeavors," Masood stated during the post-match presentation.

Australia's victory in the third Test sealed a 3-0 series sweep against Pakistan. Despite the visiting team having its moments, Australia demonstrated their cricketing prowess, and Warner's final innings added to the memorable conclusion of his Test journey.
