Pak used Turkish drones to target India: Govt

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sophia Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh shared details about Pakistan’s drone attacks and Indian response at a press briefing in New Delhi on Friday.

Around 300-400 drones were used to attempt infiltration at 36 locations and preliminary reports suggest they were of Turkish origin, they said. Pakistan is using civilian aircraft as cover, they said.

Misri said that Pakistan’s allegations of India targeting its own cities are part of a disinformation campaign to mislead the world and trigger communal tensions within India. “They also alleged that India targeted the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara. This is a blatant lie. Pakistan is desperately trying to give a communal hue to the situation in order to create discord,” he said.

The foreign secretary responded to questions from the press.
