Paisley singer Lisa Kowalski urgently needs votes to perform at Oban Live

A Paisley singer-songwriter is sending out a last-ditch appeal to the people of Glasgow and surrounding areas.

Lisa Kowalski is in a race against time to secure her place on the stage at Oban's biggest music festival when it takes place in June.

The 19-year-old is bidding to perform at Oban Live, but needs to get enough votes in an online competition in order to make her dream a reality.

Lisa, who has played a raft of high profile shows in Glasgow including King Tut’s on her 18th birthday, was in the lead in the contest until last night, when she was overtaken by another band.

And now she's appealing for a bit of support to get her back over the finish line in first place -but you've only got until  12pm to do it!!

Her mum Rebecca told Glasgow Live: "She was in the lead until last night and then we don't know what happened.

"So we're appealing to everyone to get behind us.

"People in Paisley have been so brilliant, including St Mirren Football Club, we can't thank everyone enough and are just asking for another push to try and get Lisa on the stage at Oban Live!"
