Paisley shop robbed and cash stolen by man in black hoodie

A brazen thief made off with hundreds of pounds from a Paisley newsagents in a terrifying robbery.

The thug stormed the Day-Today store in Neilston Road around 9.30pm on Friday and stole a three-figure sum of cash before running off.

No one was injured in the robbery, but staff at the store were left shaken by the ordeal.

Police are now hunting the man and are appealing for any information .

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, 5ft 10in tall, unshaven with a slim build.

A police spokeswoman said: “At 9.30pm on Friday, November 29, officers attended the Day-Today store in Neilston Road following a report of a robbery.

“Officers are now keen to trace the suspect and would ask anyone with any information that they think may help trace this man, please do contact police.”
