Paisley Road West crash: Police on scene and diversions put in place following collision

Emergency services have been scrambled to a crash on Paisley Road West.

Police are currently at the scene at the junction of Paisley Road West, Broomloan Road and Dumbreck Road following the collision.

Further details of the crash are yet to be given and at this stage there are no reports of any injuries. Police Scotland have been approached by Glasgow Live for comment.

Diversions are currently in place.

At 1.39pm this afternoon, Glasgow City Council's Traffic and Control Management team (TRAFFCOM) advised: "Due to a road traffic collision at the junction of Paisley Road West / Broomloan Road / Dumbreck Road, road users are advised to follow Police direction until further notice while emergency services deal with the incident."

UPDATE: A Police Scotland spokesperson has advised Glasgow Live: "Police were called around 11am on Thursday, 8 July, 2021 following the report of a road crash between a van and a car on Broomloan Road at its junction with Paisley Road West.

"Emergency services are in attendance and there does not appear to be any life threatening injuries."

Glasgow City Council also confirmed: "This incident has been closed and the junction is open in all directions. Diversions are not required."
