Paisley men who died in suspected murder suicide are named by locals

Two men found dead in a Paisley house are believed to have died in a horror murder suicide as they are named by neighbours.

The pair, named locally as father and son James and Nicolas Mooney, were discovered at a house in Ralston on Thursday evening.

The Express revealed yesterday how police officers made the grim discovery when they  rushed to Lanfine Road at around 7pm.

The deaths are being treated as unexplained, however it is believed one line of inquiry is that the pair could have died in a suspected murder-suicide.

Police yesterday sealed off a section of the quiet residential street as officers carried out their investigation.

Specialist forensic officers were later seen removing items from the house.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 7pm on Thursday, April 16 , police received a call to attend at Lanfine Road, Paisley.

Officers attended and discovered two men had died within the property.

"The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
