Paisley maternity team help deliver five Christmas babies

The team at Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital welcomed one of Scotland's first Christmas babies yesterday.

Emma Geary, 20, and her partner Ben Fox, welcomed their little boy, Oliver Fox into the world at 12.45am on Christmas morning at the maternity hospital.

Oliver weighed a healthy 7lbs 3oz and mum and baby are both doing well.

Emma, from Alexandria, said: “We are over the moon to have our wee Christmas present. He is perfect and the best present we could have asked for. We honestly can't wait to see who he becomes. We love you so much Ollie.”

The Christmas Day maternity team helped deliver a total of five babies on Christmas Day.
