Paisley man last seen near Morrison's as disappearance 'out of character'

A police search has been launched following the disappearance of 25-year-old Michael Duffy.

Michael was last seen on May 15 at around 12.45pm near Morrison's on Neilston Road in Paisley.

Officers are appealing for help as they say his disappearance is "out of character", with concerns for the man's welfare increasingly growing.

Michael is described as being 5ft 10inches in height, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt, a black Levi jacket as well as wearing black square framed glasses and carrying a grey backpack.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers in Glasgow are asking for the help of the public to trace a man missing from the city.

"Michael Duffy, 25, was last seen around 12.45pm on Monday 15 May 2023 in near to Morrison’s on Neilston Road, Paisley.

"He is described as being around 5ft 10in in height, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

"When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a brown Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt, a black Levi jacket. He was wearing black square framed glasses and carrying a grey backpack.

"Sergeant Kevin Dougall, Police Scotland said: “This is very out of character for Michael and concerns are growing for his welfare. I am appealing for anyone who has seen Michael or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us. I would also urge Michael to get in touch with us or his family to let us know he is alright.”

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 0848 of 16 May, 2023."
