Paisley 'group search' organised for missing dad Evan Reid to mark two weeks since disappearance

A mass search has been organised to help find missing dad Evan Reid.

The 31-year-old hasn't been seen since getting off a train at Paisley Gilmour Street around 10pm on March 25.

Evan, from Irvine, had been travelling home from a day out in Glasgow when he unexpectedly exited the train appearing agitated after telling his partner "something dodgy was happening". He was last picked up on CCTV on Inchinnan Road.

Two weeks on from when he was last seen, a group search has been organised by his loved ones.

Helpers are being asked to meet at Robertson Street car park, also known as the car park in the sky, at 11am on Saturday.

An event page organised by Evan's friends Nicola Cook and Saira Lee reads: "We will have posters and flyers to hand out and put up. High visibility vests so you can identify everyone in the search group.

"Please wear comfortable footwear and warm clothing as the search areas are open and exposed.

"If you have any walking poles or similar please bring these with you as it may be helpful when searching in heavy woodland growth so as not to disturb the area too much if vital information found.

"The search will be in groups!- NO ONE WILL BE SEARCHING ALONE

"Any time that you can give up to help us search is much appreciated so even if it’s only an hour or all day we NEED your help.

"We will give a contact number out at the meet up to pass any information on."

Evan's partner Nicole Murray shared an emotional statement on Facebook a week after his disappearance.

She said: "My love, my life, my everything. Over a week now since you have went missing, over a week since I have seen your face, over a week since I have heard your voice.

"So many unanswered questions we all have, you are one in a million, so loved by so many."

Evan is described as being around 5ft 8in in height and of slim build. When last seen he was wearing a khaki green jumper, a black body warmer, dark blue jeans, and grey trainers.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101.
