Paisley attack: Schoolboy rushed to hospital with head injury after assault outside Morrisons

A schoolboy was rushed to hospital with a head injury after being attacked outside a supermarket in Paisley.

Police were called to the scene of an assault at Morrisons on Thread Street at around 10.20pm last night.

The 15-year-old boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow to be treated for the injury.

Officers have launched an investigation and anyone with information is urged to get in touch with the police.

A Police Scotland spokesperson advised: "We received a report of a 15-year-old boy who had been assaulted outside a supermarket on Thread Street, Paisley around 10.20pm on Thursday, 1 July.

"He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow with a head injury.

"Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 3911 of 1 July."
