Pair rescued after fire breaks out on decking in Dublin apartments

Two people were rescued after a fire broke out at a high rise in Dublin.

Dublin Fire Brigade was called to the scene of the blaze in the south city centre on Monday night. Six fire engines responded to the incident.

Firefighters discovered that the decking on the building had gone up in flames. Thankfully, the brave crew managed to tackle to flames and stopped the fire before it could spread any further.

A spokesperson for the DFB said: "Last night, six fire engines responded to a high-rise fire in the south city centre.

"On arrival, firefighters discovered decking alight and rescued two people. The fire was extinguished and crews checked for further spread of fire."
