Pair of home burglaries reported on Far South Side: police

A burglary was reported June 3, 2019, and another happened three days later.

Police are warning residents to keep their homes secure after two burglaries were reported near Morgan Park last week.

About 2:15 p.m. June 3, a male entered the unlocked side door of a home in the 2400 block of West 119th Street and stole televisions and tools, according to an alert from Chicago police.

In another incident, about 1:30 p.m. June 6, a male kicked in the back door of a house in the 11400 block of South Rockwell Street after no one answered the doorbell, police said. The homeowner activated an alarm remotely through a live security feed, and scared him away.
