Feb. 04--Police are investigating two home break-ins reported roughly a quarter mile apart Tuesday night in a Glendale neighborhood, police said.
Around 10:20 p.m., a woman who lives on the 1900 block of Calle Dulce, woke up to a man wearing a white shirt in her bedroom, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

She screamed and the suspect fled down the stairs and out the door. She later discovered that he had entered the home by breaking a window.
Nothing appeared to be missing, though kitchen cabinets, bedroom drawers and closet doors were opened.
About 25 minutes later, while police were holding a perimeter to search for the suspected burglar -- who was described as in his 20s, roughly 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 140 pounds -- a resident three blocks away reported that his home had been ransacked, Lightfoot said.
The thief reportedly made off with more than $30,000 in jewelry from the home, located on the 800 block of Calle Canta, after entering through an unlocked window, Lightfoot said.
Police, who believe the burglaries are related, reminded residents to be vigilant and report suspicious activity to authorities.
