The Carolina Panthers could be playing the role of Lloyd Christmas on Sunday. Because we’re saying there might be a chance.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Saturday night, the Arizona Cardinals are not particularly optimistic about the statuses of both quarterback Kyler Murray and wideout DeAndre Hopkins for the Week 11 matchup with the Panthers.
Three Cardinals – Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, Rondale Moore – are questionable for Sunday. Moore is the most likely to play, Hopkins the least, and it doesn’t sound promising for Murray, per sources. Cards will make final decisions in pregame, but sounds like QB-WR inactive.

Murray, who just missed the Cardinals’ Week 9 win over the San Francisco 49ers, is currently dealing with a left ankle sprain. The NFL’s current leader in completion percentage exited State Farm Stadium two weeks ago in a walking boot and, based off additional developments, has not yet progressed enough to the point of clearance.
If Murray cannot go, 12th-year veteran Colt McCoy will once again make the start under center for the birds. He completed 22 of his 26 throws for 249 yards and a touchdown in that 31-17 victory,
Even less likelier to play is Hopkins. A nagging hamstring issue, which has bothered the five-time All-Pro receiver for a few weeks now, could also keep him out of his second straight game.
It may take a little luck for the struggling 4-5 Panthers to conquer the 8-1 Cardinals. But Arizona being without their top two offensive players may make this contest a tad more intriguing.
