
Police are warning Gresham residents after two armed robberies were reported earlier this week.
In both cases, the the suspect approached someone, displayed a black handgun and demanded their property, Chicago police said in an alert. They stole purses, wallets, cellphones and jewelry.
The first robbery happened about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 7600 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said. A second incident occurred about 8:45 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 300 block of West 76th Street.
The suspects are described as one to two males standing 6 feet tall, police said.
