A man and woman have been charged with murder after a man was found with fatal injuries in woodland close to a football pitch in north London.
George-Elvis Tobosaru, 22, and Violeta Ionescu, 21, both of no fixed address, were charged on Friday with murder after handing themselves in at a south London police station.
They will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates Court on Saturday.
Police have so far failed to trace the victim’s family.
A Met spokesman said officers were called on Wednesday to reports of an injured man in a wooded area near to Walthamstow Avenue, Chingford and the North Circular.
A crime scene remains in place in a wooded cut through behind a five-a-side football pitch.
