Pair arrested after woman killed in Lawndale shooting

Police arrested two people after a woman was shot and killed Monday afternoon in Lawndale on the West Side.

The woman was shot in her head in an apartment around 1:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Kolin Avenue, Chicago police said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and pronounced dead, police said. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.

Two people were taken in for questioning, police said.
