Pair arrested after over €100,000 worth of cannabis seized in Dublin sting

Two people have been arrested after officers seized €127k worth of cannabis in south Dublin on Thursday evening.

The seizure happened in Drimangh after gardai from the Crumlin District Drugs Unit executed a search warrant at an address in the area at around 7pm.

During the search, officers nabbed approximately 6.5kg of cannabis herb which has an estimated street value of €127k. The drugs have now been sent for analysis.

Gardai arrested one man and one woman, both aged in their 30's, at the scene. The pair were taken to Crumlin Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

A garda spokesman said that "investigations are ongoing".
