(Picture: HANDOUT)Portraits of all the 118 women in the UK killed by men in just 12 months will go on show this month.
The paintings by artist Henny Beaumont, called Disappearing Women, were inspired after MP Jess Phillips read out their names in the House of Commons on International Women’s Day.
That speech ended with the MP mentioning Sarah Everard — who at that point was still missing — and Ms Beaumont said she realised she had not heard of any of the other women.
She said: “It made me curious about all these other women and why we didn’t know them. I wanted to create a memorial to them.”
The show, at the Other Art Fair in east London, does not include an image of Sarah Everard whose killer, Pc Wayne Couzens, yesterday received a whole life order at the Old Bailey.
