Paige VanZant fight UK time: Start time for Rachael Ostovich bare-knuckle boxing bout

Paige VanZant will rematch Rachael Ostovich in her second bare-knuckle boxing match on Friday night in Florida.

The former UFC stars met in the octagon at UFC on ESPN+ 1 in the first meeting early in 2019, with VanZant winning with a second round armbar.

But the fight takes on a whole new dimension without the ability to go to the ground for either woman, who both have strong ground games in the world of MMA.

Fans can expect a bloody and brutal mess due to the nature of bare-knuckle boxing, particularly given VanZant's propensity for violent fights over the years.

Here's everything you as a viewer in the UK need to know about the event...

What time is fight in the UK?

VanZant v Ostovich will take kick off at 1am British time from the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

There is a packed night of fights, including some social media influencer bouts which won't be bare-knuckle, so expect the main event ring walks around 4am.

Quotes corner

Paige VanZant: “When you beat somebody, you have a mental edge over them, you just do.

"Beyond that, having the experience in bare-knuckle, especially in BKFC…

"I think my experience, I won’t have that hesitation going into this next one, and I’ll know exactly what to do, and I’ll be more comfortable.

“Going into that first bare-knuckle fight, there are certain elements of bare-knuckle boxing that you can’t prepare for unless you actually have experience fighting.

“You can’t do bare-knuckle boxing on your teammates, there’s a few elements that I needed to adjust to.

"I feel my experience going into it is definitely going to give me the upper hand.

“I’m coming for the knockout for sure. I don’t see any other way, especially with the coaches I have in my corner for this camp and how hard I’m training.

"I’ve sacrificed absolutely everything for this, so I’m coming for the knockout.”

Rachael Ostovich: “I did feel like I was the better striker in our last fight.

“I went into that fight, I had a broken orbital going into that fight so I wasn’t trying to stand with her, so I kept taking her down.

"There was a lot of grappling there.

“When I looked back at my fight with her, I wish I could have stood up more. I am excited for this boxing match because it is just stand up.”
