Paige Turley suffers 'two-day hangover' from free bar at Soccer Aid

Love Island star Paige Turley has said she's suffering a two-day hangover after taking full advantage of the free bar at Soccer Aid.

The Scot took to her Instagram story to say that she was still feeling under the weather after attending the charity football event on Saturday.

"Guys I cant even - I am still so hungover," she said.

"This is day two from Soccer Aid. Why did I have to over indulge in the free bloody bar? I think before I even got to the after party, I had three pints of wine! Who does that?

"That's it, I'm done with the alcohol!"

The event, which was held at the Etihad Stadium, raised a record breaking £13,014,769 during the course of the match for UNICEF.

And Paige wasn't the only Scot to suffer from a 'sare heid' after attending the event as Line of Duty star Martin Compston also revealed that he had a hangover.

The Greenock-born actor wrote: “Heads bouncing but worth every boak on the drive home.

“Huge part of this is the pros having to train, play and listen to our p**h for days on end and they couldn’t be more generous with their time.

“Privilege to share a pitch with them.”

Martin won his fair share of plaudits for his performance on the pitch on Sunday, with some even calling for Steve Clarke to consider him for Scotland duty.

He played a pivotal role for the World XI side when he set up former Love Islander Kem Cetinay to score the second goal of the match.

Martin, who has become somewhat of a permanent fixture of the star-studded fixture over the years, thanked Soccer Aid for allowing him to live out his ‘boyhood dreams’.

In a later Instagram post, he wrote: “Back home, back to work, back to reality.

“Thank you @socceraid for letting me live out boyhood dreams once again. As ever more important, thank you to everybody who donated and made it a record breaking night for @unicef_uk.

“Til next time.”

The Line of Duty star played alongside the likes of Roberto Carlos, Usain Bolt and Rivaldo in the World XI’s 3-0 victory over an equally star-studded England side in Manchester on Saturday.

And the victory called for a big celebration, as players and celebrities from both sides partied into the wee hours of Sunday morning.
