Paige Sandhu teases first major role after Emmerdale exit

Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu has discussed her next role after her dramatic exit as the soap’s villain Meena Jutla.

Paige Sandhu, 25, has played Meena in Emmerdale since 2020. As fans of the soap know, the character has bumped off many of the programme’s favourites during her villainous crimes.

Many fans have wanted to see Paige get her comeuppance for many months. After her exit as Meena, it appears that we won’t have to wait long to see Paige in her next acting role.

The star has spoken with Digital Spy about what she’s working on next. Paige said: “I am starting filming on something else, so that will be cool. Then there are other things that are potentials, so that's really exciting. They are all (the characters) goodies, funnily enough.”

Although, Paige said she’s not averse to playing a ‘baddie’ again soon. She said: “I definitely want to continue to play baddies. I love baddies. I think they're just so much fun to play.

“I just want to continue playing characters that are wildly different to me – where you can have a lot of fun. The roles are really challenging and fulfilling, and it doesn't really matter whether they are a goodie or a baddie.

“Just as long as I feel connected to them, I can have fun and it's challenging. It's written really well and the storyline is amazing.”
