Page 3 model Rhian Sugden reveals she wants to become a midwife

Glamour model Rhian Sugden has been flooded with support and advice after saying it's her 'all time dream' to becoming a midwife.

Rhian, 33, says she feels like 'starting all over' and going back to college.

The page 3 star opened up to her Twitter followers about her aim.

"I really, really, really want to be a midwife," she said.

"It’s been an all time dream of mine and today I just feel like starting all over and going back to college.

"It's eight years to qualify though."

The lingerie model and writer, from Bury, received a raft of messages encouraging her to go for it.

"My wife is a midwife and she absolutely loves it, so if it's what you want to do then go for it," said one follower.

"Never to late to start anything!! Do it!" said another.

And another follower encouraged: "Just do it, still young.. if it's your dream, follow it and don't let anything stand in your way!"

Rhian, who is married to former Coronation Street star Oliver Mellor who played Dr Matt Carter, recently celebrated her 460th appearance on page 3.

"I’m told it’s my 460th appearance on page 3 today," she tweeted.

"Despite the stigma associated with page 3 - I have to say, I’m proud to be one of the longest standing.

"Being a #Page3 girl doesn’t mean we are not intelligent nor are we objectifying women.  It’s my choice.

"Yay to boobs!"

In April she told fans that she would be trying for IVF after receiving 'some pretty devastating news' about her fertility.

"I wasn't going to share this news but I feel the need to highlight the struggles a lot of women are going through," she explained.

"It's hard being a woman and having all these expectations.

"Being told you might not be able to have children is heartbreaking.

"I don't like the pressure that people put on women to have children and I don't like the pressure that I have put on myself.

"I struggle to answer questions about when I am going to start a family - even though I know the question comes from a good place, I hate being asked it.

"All I can say really is that I've been trying and I can't."

And last month she tweeted: "I've created a private Instagram for people like myself who are suffering with #infertility or are going through #ivf

"If there’s anyone out there who can relate or is in the #ttccommunity feel free to give me a follow(rhiansovaryaction).

"It helps to talk about it."

Rhian married Oliver in a romantic ceremony by the Mediterranean Sea in Turkey last September.

She appeared on the 2012 series of Celebrity Big Brother along with ex Corrie legend Julie Goodyear.

Rhian and Oliver got engaged while she was watching her man perform in Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee at the Opera House Manchester in 2014.

The actor staged a romantic proposal after a flash mob of singers stood off stage to perform a medley of romantic songs, before bursting into Bruno Mars’ Marry You.
