Paesano and Sugo announce restaurant reopening dates for later this month

Paesano and Sugo have announced when they will be reopening to the public.

While Paesano has been open for takeaway since May, Sugo has remained closed for the entirety of lockdown.

After being given the go-ahead to reopen indoor hospitality, plans are now underway to get the restaurants up and running.

The company will be focusing on reopening Sugo on Mitchell Street first.

The pasta restaurant will be opening on July 20 with a number of new health and safety measures in place.

Paesano on Miller Street will be next to open on July 27 followed by the Great Western Road branch.

The restaurants haven't confirmed whether customers will have to book a table in advance or whether they will be accepting walk-ins.

Indoor hospitality venues will be able to open under phase three of the routemap out of lockdown from July 15.

Physical distancing rules and guidance must be in place but the hospitality sector will be given an exemption from the 2m rule.

Restaurants will have to give clear information to customers that they're entering a 1m zone, revised seating plans and improved ventilation.
