A paedophile music teacher sexually abused teenage girls while giving them private tuition in his home.
Gordon Brotherston yesterday admitted a string of charges against three girls – two of them under 16.
Some of the abuse took place on a weekly basis and while his wife was in another room.
The pervert, 64, from Dumfries, has been placed on the sex offenders’ register and was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing next month.
Over a two-year period from September 2008, Brotherston admitted sending sexually explicit messages by phone to a girl under 15, rubbing her shoulders, putting his hands under her clothing and inducing her to perform oral sex and having unlawful sex with her.
On several occasions between June 2009 and 2011, he admitted abusing another girl under 16.
The incidents with both girls happened at his home at Dumfries and in his car, the court heard.
In another charge, again at his home, he admitted on two occasions last June to engaging in a sexual activity and exposing himself and committing a sexual act in the presence of a girl who had just turned 16.
The court heard that Brotherston’s behaviour was discovered when one girl’s mother reported him to the police.
