Padres rookie reliever Daniel Camarena hit a grand slam off Max Scherzer and his dad went nuts

Are you sitting down for this? Good.

Because a relief pitcher in just his second Major League game stepped up to the plate against one of the best hurlers in baseball (Max Scherzer) with his team down by a bunch of runs and the bases loaded … and he proceeded to hit a grand slam.

It’s Daniel Camarena, a 28-year-old lefty, and his family was at the game. His dad went nuts, as you’d expect, and the whole scene was amazing.

But there’s more! The Padres ended up coming back from being down 8-0 thanks in part to the grand slam. We’ve got to break it all down below:
